The 2nd Advance Study Meeting for the Volunteer Students (11/10/24)

117 students have registered with the volunteer work in the disaster area.
The 2nd group of the volunteer students consists of 48 students (37 from Hirakata Camupus, and 11 from Moriguchi Campus).
In the opening of the study meeting, Takahide Shishido (Sophomore of The Department of Law & Public Policy of The Faculty of Contemporary Social Studies), who was a member of the first group of the volunteer students, made an address as follows: "It is most important to do each supporting activity sincerely. I have learned many important things through the activities and so I would like to appreciate people in the disaster areas. I can't join the second group but I hope you all do your best on behalf of the other students."
The meeting was followed by the lecture made by Mr. Hiroshi Sadamitsu (The leader of Student Support Group in Hirakata Campus Center). He explained the situation in the disaster area and gave advice about mental attitude in doing activities. In the end of the meeting, they were given special training in order to get ability to work in the harmony of heart, mind and body when they work together with strangers.
After attending the meeting, the students will leave for the disaster area with strong feelings for to support the local people.
